Upwork
ABOUT THE PROJECTWe are building a 32-course online certification program for Idaho SOAR providers — case managers and social service professionals who help people experiencing homelessness apply for Social Security disability benefits (SSI/SSDI). The program delivers two certification pathways: an adult pathway and a child pathway. All courses will be built in Articulate Rise 360 and publishedas SCORM 1.2 packages uploaded to Moodle.THE ENGAGEMENTThis is a 90-day contract. There is no ongoing work planned after the sprint concludes. We are evaluating two to three contractors for this project. Work will be assigned based on demonstrated quality and design judgment shown during a paid practical test. Strong performers will receive a larger share of the 32-course build.WHAT YOU WILL BE DOINGYou will receive detailed production scripts for every course — block-by-block Rise content instructions, full narration text, knowledge check questions, and Moodle configuration notes. Your job is to execute those scripts in Rise 360 and deliver polished SCORM packages ready for Moodle upload.Specifically:•Build course content in Articulate Rise 360 using provided production scripts• Apply professional visual design judgment — if a Rise layout isn’t serving the learner well, say so and suggest a better approach• Flag content or script issues proactively — if something doesn’t flow logically or won’t make sense to a learner, we want to know before it’s built, not after• Record and lightly edit voiceover narration for each course• Add narration audio to Rise blocks• Build knowledge checks using Rise’s native quiz blocks• Publish completed courses as SCORM 1.2 packages• Upload SCORM packages to Moodle and configure completion tracking• Incorporate reviewer feedback and revise courses on a rolling basis• Maintain consistent visual style using provided Rise theme and brand guidelinesHOW WE WANT YOU TO WORKDetailed production scripts are provided for every course — you won’t be starting from a blank page. But we don’t want someone who just builds what they’re handed without engaging their professional judgment. If something in a script doesn’t flow well for a learner, tell us. If a Rise layout isn’t the best way to present a concept, suggest a better one. If the visual design could be stronger, make it stronger. We want a collaborator who executes at pace and thinks about quality — someone who brings their expertise to the work, not just their hands.WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR• Demonstrated Articulate Rise 360 experience — portfolio samples required• An eye for visual design in Rise — knows when a layout is working and when it isn’t• Comfortable giving feedback on scripts respectfully and concisely• Moodle experience — specifically uploading and configuring SCORM activities• Comfortable recording your own voiceover narration (clear audio, home setup acceptable)• Basic audio editing — removing mistakes, normalising levels• High attention to detail — this content involves SSA form guidance that must be accurate• Able to work at a consistent build pace within a defined 90-day timelineNICE TO HAVE• Familiarity with SSI/SSDI, social services, disability benefits, or case management• Experience building SCORM courses for Moodle specifically• Moodle administration experience — completion tracking, certificate configuration, gradebook• Experience with Rise 360 branching scenarios or interactive blocks beyond basic contentHOW TO APPLYPlease include the following in your proposal. Applications missing any of these three items will not be reviewed:• 1. At least two Rise 360 course samples (Upwork portfolio or shared preview links)• 2. A 60-90 second audio recording of yourself reading this text: “Welcome to F-04: The SOAR Case Manager Role. In this module we will look at exactly what you are — and are not — responsible for as a SOAR-trained provider. We will cover your scope of practice, your responsibilities as an authorized representative, and how to take care of yourself in work that is meaningful but demanding.”• 3. Your answer to this question in writing: Describe the process you follow to publish a Rise course as SCORM 1.2 and upload it to Moodle — what settings do you configure and why?
