Hours/Location: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

Primary Responsibilities:
Manage the intake of members or the admission/discharge information post notificationWork with hospitals, clinics, facilities and the clinical team to manage requests for services from members and/or providersManage the referral process, processing incoming and outgoing referrals and prior authorizations, including intake, notification and census rolesProvide appropriate triage and care coordination notification cases for non-clinical assessment/intervention-processing referralsTake inbound and outbound callsHandle resolution/inquiries from members and/or providersThis is high volume, customer service environment. You’ll need to be efficient, productive and thoroughly dealing with our members over the phone. You also must be able to work on a flexible schedule that includes evening hours

Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED (or higher)2+ years of customer service experienceIntermediate level of proficiency with MS Word, Excel and Outlook
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working within the health care Industry and with health care insuranceExperience working in a hospital, physician’s office or medical clinic settingExperience working in a call centerA clerical or administrative support backgroundKnowledge of ICD-9 and CPT codesAll Telecommuters will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group’s Telecommuter Policy.
